Feeling pretty normal today

I'm now in the waiting phase and it's not been a bad day today, the day after I received my cells, and I've been in quite buoyant mood.  I've been feeling reasonably normal, give or take a few gut issues which are a side effect of one of the chemos.  I will continue to have daily Cyclosporin for a considerable time but have now got the drip time down to 3 hours, trying for 2 tomorrow.

Dave spent the morning with me.  After lunch I had a snooze followed by a reflexology session courtesy of the supportive therapy unit - mmmmm!  And Michelle came to see me for a good chat.

Long may this bit last!

I'm still at a loss about posting comments and really appreciate those of you who have tried and failed, as well as those who have succeeded.  Thanks for trying.

  1. Catherine here. So pleased it is all going so well. Like me, you were born in the year of the Ox. Says it all really - strong as an Ox. Also the element with which we are associated is Metal. The qualities associated with metal are firmness, rigidity, persistence, strength and determination. The positive emotion associated with metal is courage. I think there is a lot to be said about the Chinese zodiac. So with all those qualities, I think there is no doubt you will make a speedy recovery.

I think your blog idea is brilliant by the way.

People shouldn't give up trying to post comments. All you have to do is:

    - click on Post Comment
    - type your message in the dialogue box
    - below the dialogue box is a drop down menu which says "Select profile"
    - if you are old and boring like me, select Anonymous which is right at the bottom of the drop down list.
    - then click on "Post Comment" which is underneath the drop down box
    - wait until you see "Done" in bottom left of your computer
    - click on "Post Comment" again

  2. Just to finish off.....
    - a word verification box comes up where you just have to type in the word you see on the screen
Hopefully that should get you there.

    - after you have typed the word in verification box you have to click on "Post Comment" again and that really is it.

  4. Well I thought I'd try this too. I'm sitting at home in Bath and there's not much I can do as it's very white and snowy here. Your blog is fascinating to read. You are an amazing superstar, how you take everything in your stride. I hope the effects are minimal, though I know you probably don't express them all. I know where you'd prefer to be but such stoicism and fight, you'll be there before Christmas. Take good care of yourself. See you at no 56, Mayfield ave. Lots and lots of love Anne xxxx
